Meet our New Board Members: Anthea & Natasha!

Please give a warm welcome to two new board members, Anthea Chan & Natasha Su-Lee Kinnear!

Anthea has spent the last decade working in civil litigation in Toronto. She is currently legal counsel at Intact Insurance. Outside of her legal practice, she is committed to lending her experience in advocacy, public policy, and business background to community organizations across the province. She is a volunteer with the Refugee Sponsorship Support Program and Pro-Bono Ontario. Anthea has also worked with Foundation Fighting Blindness, Justice for Children and Youth, Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care, and the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers in areas of fundraising, drafting legislative amendments, and public advocacy to protect the rights of minority communities, people with disabilities, women, and young people.

Anthea is a strong supporter of the arts in Toronto, especially theatre. She was first introduced to Nightwood Theatre 20 years ago, when her mother attended “China Doll”. She is grateful for the opportunity to join the Board of Directors to support Nightwood’s important voice and mission.

Natasha is a passionate fundraising strategist based in Toronto. She has extensive nonprofit experience leading digital and mass fundraising efforts, including large-scale national and international campaigns. Natasha has worked in healthcare foundations, social service organizations, and arts and culture companies – all with the common goal of raising funds to enable growth and long term stability. She is currently the Digital Fundraising Manager at March of Dimes Canada, where she leads national fundraising initiatives to support people with disabilities across the country.

Natasha has more than a decade of experience in feminist community groups and organizing, and takes pride in building connections between the many communities she is privileged to be part of. She is deeply committed to social advocacy in the arts, and is an avid theatre-goer in Toronto. She hopes to lend her fundraising and donor communications expertise to support Nightwood’s development goals and overall future planning.

We are so excited to have you both joining our team and look forward to our years together!
